Handy was Ch. Shelmar Silver Lace O'Malpsh's second son. He was sold to Martha Crittendon of Ashwood Shelties, the owner of Handy's sire, Ch. Ashwood Son of A Witch at the 1988 Nat'l Specialty. Martha quickly got him out to the shows, expertly handled by Glenda Henson. Handy finished very quickly and soon became a popular stud. I thank all the breeders who used him.  The fancy showed that he was a dog that deserved recognition. Thus making him an ROM.

April was a once in a lifetime dog. She was our token sable. She began her show career at 6 mos and 1 day, going reserve at an all breed dog show. Her next stop was at the Tidewater SSC show at the tender age of 10 mons old. This day she went BOB over 13 specials inclulding her sire. Next onto the National Specialty in Virginia Beach. She won her Futurity class and was pulled for consideration for BI Futurity along with her kennelmate Justin. This was only the beginning, April seemed to be the breeder's judge dog.She had many wins, even group placements along the way. Her second major came from respected breeder/judge Jean Jeu.
April was our love and a dog that we truly will miss. When we think of April, what comes to mind is "what a showdog!".
