Shelmar is located in a very rural part of Eastern North Carolina on approximately 12 acres. We live about one hour east of Raleigh and do all of our shipping out of Raleigh-Durham Airport.
All of our dogs are raised in the home and are an integral part of our family. We choose to keep no more than 6-7 dogs at a time. Of course, we always have visitors, but for our own comfort and that of our dogs, our numbers are limited.
We continually strive to breed Shetland Sheepdogs according to the breed standard. Our focus is on health, sound bodies, correct temperaments, and the classic Sheltie headpiece. All of our puppies are sold with a health guarantee. Those puppies sold to pet homes are put on a spay/neuter contract.
